Detailed handouts containing all patterns (& bonus ones), terminology and photos to help you feel confident in the fundamentals of shuttle tatting as well as video refreshers for you to continue practicing at home at your own pace will be provided. AGE APPROPRIATENESS: 19+ (adults only) LEVEL: Prerequisite of Studio Mooi's Beginner Tatting Skills & Techniques workshop, or ability to tat a ring using a shuttle (Double Stitches and Picots) ALL MATERIALS PROVIDED With Kit Option Includes: 1 shuttle, 1 crochet hook (0.5mm), 6 small bobbins of thread (Lizbeth/ Olympus mercerized cotton sizes 3, 10 and 20) Week 1: Flower Bouquet (Ring & Picot) Create a bouquet of colourful “ring” flowers. Following simple patterns for creating various ring shapes, participants can create as many rings as they want using high quality cotton thread. (Bonus pattern: Variation of the Butterfly) Week 3: 5-Petal Flower (Ring, Picot, Lock Join & Chain) Putting the previous lessons on rings, picots and joins together, let’s learn how to tat a more elaborate 5-petal flower.
