Say Yes, Even When You're Scared: How Studio Mooi Landed on Breakfast Television

Fear and creativity often arrive together. One whispers, “What if I mess this up?” and the other nudges back, “But what if it’s beautiful?”
At Studio Mooi, we know this dance well. Our whole mission is about helping people reconnect with their creativity—not when they feel confident or “talented,” but right now. In the messy middle. With glue on your fingers, a blank canvas in front of you, and that little voice in your head saying, “Are you sure you can do this?”
Today, we had one of those full-circle moments: Studio Mooi was on Breakfast Television.
And at 4 am this morning, the fear was real...and we thought maybe we should've said no.
“What if we stumble over our words?”
“What if we’re not ready?”
But we plowed through anyways.
We said yes with nervous hands and big hearts. We said yes to showing up authentically, to speaking about our mission of building community through creativity, to championing the messy, beautiful joy of making things with your hands.
And we’re so glad we did. Because saying yes—even with fear attached—is how you grow.
It’s how you launch a business before you have everything figured out.
It’s how you walk into a Studio Mooi workshop and say, “I’m not creative,” and leave with something beautiful that you made.
It’s how you go on live TV and tell the world that art and connection still matter in a world that moves too fast.
Here’s What We’ve Learned (Again and Again):
Fear is not a stop sign—it’s a signal you’re onto something meaningful.
You don’t have to feel 100% ready. You just have to show up.
Saying yes opens doors that fear will try to keep locked.
Today was a “yes” moment we’ll never forget. And we’re here to remind you that your own version of that moment is waiting.
So, say yes.
Even if your voice shakes.
Even if your hands are sweaty.
Even if you feel like a hot glue gun in human form.
Because on the other side of yes?
That’s where the good stuff lives.
xo, Tanya
