Learn to create your own handmade books using two distinct stitching techniques and craft two unique notebooks from start to finish. Learn to first create a hardcover book using coptic binding, a beautiful and durable stitching method that allows the book to lay flat when open. Then explore crossed-structure binding to make a flexible softcover book. By the end of the class, you will have created two personalized notebooks—perfect for journaling, recipes, sketching, or any other creative use; also perfect for gifting! In this 3 hour workshop, Niki will show you a variety of skills and techniques to build your hemming and alterations confidence, measurement taking abilities, and sewing machine maintenance. Practice on your own item of clothing and learn the skills to get your wardrobe ready for the summer season!
