  • Hemming and Alterations Basics

    Learn the basics of garment hemming and alterations on your own sewing machine with fashion designer and film theatre costumer Niki. In this 3 hour workshop, Niki will show you a variety of skills and techniques to build your hemming and alterations confidence, measurement taking abilities, and sewing machine maintenance. Practice on your own item of clothing and learn the skills to get your wardrobe ready for the seasons ahead! PLEASE NOTE: Participants MUST bring their own sewing machine and a garment/article of clothing made of non-stretch (no t-shirts or activewear) and non-denim (no jeans or jean jackets) fabric—such as pants, a top, skirt, or similar—for use during the workshop. Participants should be confident and comfortable operating their own machines. This is a great next-step from our Sewing Machine Basics workshop.   • Under the Big Top March Break Day Camp

    Join us for a week under the big top where kids become ringmasters, acrobats, clowns, and performers. Each day focuses on a different circus skill while campers create props and costumes, practice acts, and build confidence on stage. By the end of the week, campers will perform a full Circus Spectacular for family and friends to enjoy featuring comedy, creative acts, magic, music, and clowning around! Best of all, pizza lunch is included on the last day for our end of the week party!   • Make it Miniature Summer Day Camp

    08/04-08/07 | 9am to 4pm Early drop-off from 8:30am and late pick-up until 5pm available: see varied pricing. Ages 6+ Make it tiny, make it magical! In our Make It Miniature summer day camp, kids dive into the world of mini-making as they create detailed dioramas, tiny sculptures, and small-scale scenes using a variety of materials—all while building creativity and imagination. The week wraps up with a final showcase where they proudly share their miniature creations. All our summer camps end the week with a camp party and a pizza lunch! Our camp schedule consists of 2 work periods full of crafting and creating. Students will also have independent time where they can play with their friends. We will include some outdoor play time to stretch our legs and burn some energy. Don’t forget to pack a water bottle, a nut-free lunch and two snacks.   • Intro to Amigurumi Workshop

    Join us at Studio Mooi in Toronto for a fun and creative introduction to the world of amigurumi: the art of crocheting in 3D. In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of crocheting amigurumi, including how to make a magic ring, single crochet, increase, and decrease. We'll guide you through the process of creating your first amigurumi project, and you'll leave feeling confident in your new skills and hobby.     Granny squares are a fundamental building block in the crochet world. They are so versatile you will see them cropping up in lots of patterns – sweaters, bags, blankets and more! In this 3 hour Intro to Granny Squares workshop, you will learn the granny fundamentals to make your own iconic granny squares! We will cover the basic stitches, how to change colours and how sew in your loose ends and squares together. Everyone will take home a small pouch they can attach to a bag or backpack and the skills to continue to crank out granny squares and make a variety of wearables, blankets and other trendy projects!
