This 2.5hr (to 3hrs - weather dependent) workshop dives one of the earliest photographic printing processes. Participants will learn the fundamentals of cyanotype printing, using flowers, leaves, and other organic materials to create 1-2 (weather permitting) stunning, matted blue-and-white prints. Learn the basics of garment hemming and alterations on your own sewing machine with fashion designer and film theatre costumer Niki. In this 3 hour workshop, Niki will show you a variety of skills and techniques to build your hemming and alterations confidence, measurement taking abilities, and sewing machine maintenance. Practice on your own item of clothing and learn the skills to get your wardrobe ready for the seasons ahead! PLEASE NOTE: Participants MUST bring their own sewing machine and a garment/article of clothing made of non-stretch (no t-shirts or activewear) and non-denim (no jeans or jean jackets) fabric—such as pants, a top, skirt, or similar—for use during the workshop.
