In this 3-hour workshop of Pysanky - Ukrainian Egg Decorating Irene Appleby (nee Nabereznyj), will teach you the ancient art of writing with beeswax on eggs using a tool called a 'kistka'. We begin workshop with learning a little bit about the history and cultural significance of Pysanky. Then move into the technical skills necessary to create your own unique designs. In this workshop, you will design your egg, dip the egg into natural dyes, use a 'kistka' and so much more. Irene will guide you through the whole process and at the end, you will leave with a newfound appreciation for this beautiful art form and take home your own one-of-a-kind Pysanky creations which can then become part of your holiday decor. Join us for a week under the big top where kids become ringmasters, acrobats, clowns, and performers. Each day focuses on a different circus skill while campers create props and costumes, practice acts, and build confidence on stage. By the end of the week, campers will perform a full Circus Spectacular for family and friends to enjoy featuring comedy, creative acts, magic, music, and clowning around!
