Workshop Description
*Please see varied pricing for booking options* Join our printing facilitator, Nikki Luscombe, and explore the colourful and creative world of gel plate printmaking. This 2.5-hour workshop is perfect for complete beginners looking to dive into the world of gel plate printing, as well as those who have taken our Beginner Gel Plate Printing Workshop and are ready to build on their skills with exciting new techniques. Throughout the workshop, you'll experiment with colour, texture, layering, and the wonderfully surprising nature of gel plates while creating unique prints, collage papers, and frame-worthy artwork to take home. You'll explore a series of demonstrations and hands-on activities, including: - Layered monochromatic landscapes using paper masks. - Building layered prints with stencils and texture to explore positive and negative space. - Image transfers using laser prints and magazines with paint, pattern, and masking techniques. MATERIALS INCLUDED: See Varied Pricing for Booking Options Without Kit Option: Gel plates are provided for in-studio use. Participants will take home all of their completed prints. With Kit Option: Take home your own Gel Plate Printing Kit so you can continue exploring this fun and versatile printmaking process at home! All of our workshops include tea, coffee, and something sweet. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know. Cancellation Policy
Classes are non-refundable. Cancellations are not permitted. Up to 7 days before the workshop, registrations may be: - Held as a credit on file, or - Transferred to another workshop of equal or greater value - Both of these processes are subject to a $15 administrative fee. To request a credit or transfer, please email hello@studiomooi.ca with the workshop you wish to move to. Our team will follow up to assist. Within 7 days of the workshop, credits and transfers are no longer available. Within this 7-day period, you may send someone in your place. Replacement participant details (first and last name, email, and phone number) must be provided at least 48 hours before the workshop begins. We are unable to transfer a credit after the class date has passed. Please check our Terms and Conditions for more details.
