Intro to Granny Squares
Workshop Description
Granny squares are a fundamental building block in the crochet world. They are so versatile you will see them cropping up in lots of patterns – sweaters, bags, blankets and more! In this 3 hour Intro to Granny Squares Workshop you will learn the basics of making granny squares with Catherine from Hooked on a Feline Crochet. We will cover the basic granny stitches required, how to change colours and sew in the ends. Everyone will take home a small pouch they can attach to a bag or backpack and the skills to continue to crank out granny squares and make a variety of wearables and other trendy projects! WORKSHOP DETAILS AGE APPROPRIATENESS: 12+ (with participating adult) or 14+ LEVEL: Beginner crocheter with knowledge of single crochet. MATERIALS PROVIDED Worsted Weight (#4) yarn in assorted colours 4.5mm or 5.0mm crochet hook Assorted buttons for the pouch closure Darning needle All of our workshops include tea, coffee and something sweet. Cancellation Policy
Classes are non-refundable and you cannot reschedule or transfer to another class. Our facilitators customize, purchase and prepare the materials for each participant in advance. If you would like to send someone else in your place, that’s absolutely okay, however we will need for you to provide their name, phone number and email address 24 hours before the class scheduled time either by email or phone. We are unable to transfer a credit after the class date has passed. Should any updated COVID restrictions require us to postpone classes, your ticket will be moved to a rescheduled date or converted to a Twelve (12) month credit that can be used to rebook into an alternative class at a later date.
