Workshop Description

Through the simple task of intuitively selecting images from a magazine and combining them with others we are able to discover things about ourselves and find new stories to tell. Make up to 2 pieces in this 3-hour Intuitive Collage Workshop! Under the guidance of Kathryn, an experienced facilitator, you will not only assemble collages but also delve into the art of embellishing them with distinctive marks using ink and paint. Once assembled, Kathryn will walk students through ways of adding unique marks to their collages using ink and paint. This workshop focuses on the creative process of insight and self exploration rather than the final creation. WORKSHOP DETAILS AGE APPROPRIATENESS: 12+ (if accompanied by a participating adult). 14+ LEVEL: Beginner, no previous experience necessary. ALL MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED Magazines Glue sticks Metallic and milk pens White gouache or acrylic paint.
