Workshop Description
01/18/25 | 10am-12:30pm Learn the basics of sewing with your own machine, with fashion designer and film theatre costumer Niki. In this 2.5 hour workshop, Niki will show you a variety of troubleshooting techniques and machine maintenance to get you own your machine sewing journey. You will also create your own cushion cover with an envelope opening...no zipper required! PLEASE NOTE: Participants are REQUIRED to bring in their own sewing machine WORKSHOP DETAILS AGE APPROPRIATENESS: This is an adult open age workshop suitable for ages 12+, however participants under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a participating adult due to seating. Level: Beginner, no previous experience necessary Option 1: With Sewing Kit - $100 Option 2: Without Sewing Kit - $95 MATERIALS PROVIDED: Fabric Pillow Insert Thread Scissors Basic Sewing Kits are also be available for purchase for an additional cost. Included in the kits: -Sewing pins -Variety of needles -Sewing Snips -Fabric Scissors -Measuring tape -Thimble -Sewing Threads -Seam ripper -Darning Needle -Extra buttons and pins -Carrying Case All of our workshops include tea, coffee and something sweet. Cancellation Policy
Classes are non-refundable and you cannot reschedule or transfer to another class. Our facilitators customize, purchase and prepare the materials for each participant in advance. If you would like to send someone else in your place, that’s absolutely okay, however we will need for you to provide their name, phone number and email address 24 hours before the class scheduled time either by email or phone. We are unable to transfer a credit after the class date has passed. Should any updated COVID restrictions require us to postpone classes, your ticket will be moved to a rescheduled date or converted to a Twelve (12) month credit that can be used to rebook into an alternative class at a later date.
